Configuring in STEP 7 − Operating Parameters

The settings you have made up to now in the Properties dialog are adequate to be
able to access the AS-i slaves from the user program. If you want to set a more
detailed AS-i configuration with STEP 7, follow the steps below.

The diagnostic interrupt can be se-
lected here for the protected mode.
Automatic address programming if
a slave is replaced:
If an AS-i slave is replaced (due to
a fault), the address is programmed
automatically with the factory set-
ting address "0" for a replacement
slave of the same type.
If this reaction is not desired, for ex-
ample for safety reasons, the op-
tion can be deselected here.
