DIAGNOSTIC TESTS

The HI 8931 controllers are designed with built-in diagnostic functions to

enable the user to check and troubleshoot the instrument. The checks

performed are through the front panel keys and can be used to isolate the

cause of malfunction.

Press the "MEASURE" key before proceed-

ing the following tests.

Test Offset

Press the "TEST OFFSET" key and the display should indicate the

following values:

HI 8931

0.0 mS

HI 8931

0.00 mS

HI 8931

000 µS

HI 8931

0.0 µS

±1.0 mS

±0.10 mS

±10 µS

±1.0 µS
