Device replacement

Turn off and lock out all power supplying this device before working on this device.
When replacing a device, you do not need to re-wire it. The terminals can be disconnected
from the defective device and then connected to the new device.

You must run a function test of the system after replacement of 3RM11 Failsafe and
3RM13 Failsafe safety-related motor starters.
To ensure the safety of the system, in the case of 3RM11 Failsafe and 3RM13 Failsafe
safety-related motor starters a full function test must be conducted and a successful result
obtained after a device has been replaced.
Note
Only replace a defective device with a device of an identical order number.
1. Disconnect the defective device at the terminals.
2. Deinstall the defective device.
3. Mount the new device.
4. Connect the new device at the terminals.
