SETTING THE PLAYBACK MODE
The data of the images and recordings captured with this digital camera are saved as one of four
following types: still image data, sequential shot data, video clip (image and sound) data, or audio
data. Therefore, it is necessary to set the type of data you wish to play back before starting
playback.

Still image playback mode

For viewing the still image data. Saved enlarged images (with the playback zoom) (see page
99), composed images (see page 103), and copied images (see page 121) can also be
viewed in the still image playback mode.
Sequential shot playback mode
œ
For viewing sequential shot data.
Video clip playback mode
œ
For viewing video clip data.
Audio recording playback mode
œ
For listening to audio recording data.

Turn the selector dial to the desired playback mode.
W: Still image playback mode
To view images captured in the still image shooting
mode (see page 92).
Y: Sequential shot playback mode
To view images captured in the sequential shot
shooting mode (see page 95).
X: Video clip playback mode
To view video clips recorded in the video clip shooting
mode (see page 97).
P: Audio recording playback mode
To listen to audio recordings (see page 100).

Set the main switch to Ô, and press the power button.
œ The power is turned on.
œ A playback image (or the Playback Option Setting
Screen) appears on the LCD monitor.
œ When playing back sequential shots or video clips, if you
perform steps 1 and 2 in the reverse order (i.e., step 2
first), then go to "Points Concerning the Sequential Shot
and Video Clip Playback Modes" on the next page.
œ When playing back audio recording, go to "Points
Concerning the Audio Recording Playback Mode" on the
next page.
