When you initially pair your cell phone with the 8851, you are asked whether you wish to download your cell phone’s contact list to the phone. This will allow you to browse the cell’s contact list even when the cell phone isn’t paired with the 8851. This is useful for informational purposes, however you will not be able to dial directly from this downloaded contact list unless the phone is paired at the time.
