1.

POWER SUPPLY DURING REPAIRS

In this unit, about 10 seconds after power is supplied to the battery terminal using the regulated power supply (8.4V), the power is shut off so
that the unit cannot operate.
These following two methods are available to prevent this. Take note of which to use during repairs.
Method 1.
Use the AC power adaptor (AC-L20, AC-VF50).
Method 2.
Connect the servicing remote commander RM-95 (J-6082-053-B) to the LANC jack, and set the commander switch to the "ADJ" side.

TO TAKE OUT A CASSETTE WHEN NOT EJECT (FORCE EJECT)
1 Remove the power supply (Battery or AC power adaptor).
2 Refer to 2-3. and 2-4. to remove the cabinet (F) assembly.
3 Discharge the flashlight power supply capacitor. (Refer to "3. DISCHARGING OF THE FLASHLIGHT POWER SUPPLY
CAPACITOR".)
4 Refer to 2-5. to remove the EVF cover.
5 Refer to 2-6. to remove the upper cabinet assembly and heat sink.
Note: Be careful not to damage the coaxial connector of the Bluetooth harness. (Refer to "5. COAXIAL CONNECTOR OF THE BLUETOOTH
HARNESS".)
6 Refer to 2-12. to remove the lens block, battery holder and EVF block.
7 Disconnect CN453 (31P, 0.3mm) of VC-308 board.
8 Open the cassette lid.
9 Supply +4.5V from the regulated power supply between pins 3, 4 and pins 1, 2 of the flexible board which disconnected from
CN453, and unload the cassette. (Be careful not to short-circuit.)
