1. SaFEtY inStructionS
WarninG! Ensure Health & Safety, local authority and general workshop practice regulations are adhered to when using this equipment.
Use a qualified person to lubricate and maintain the tilt. do not use brake fluid to top up hydraulic unit. Use Sealey hydraulic oil only.
Replace or repair damaged parts. Use genuine parts only. Unauthorised parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
Keep the tilt clean for best and safest performance.
Locate the tilt in a suitable work area. Keep area clean and tidy and free from unrelated materials, and ensure that there is adequate lighting.
WarninG! Use the tilt on level and solid ground, preferably concrete. Avoid tarmacadam since the tilt may sink into the surface.
Maintain correct balance and footing. Ensure that the floor is not slippery and wear non-slip shoes.
Keep children and non-essential persons away from the work area.
do not exceed the rated capacity, which is 400kg. Ensure the load is evenly distributed on the tilting frame and secured if necessary.
Before lifting check that there are no overhead obstructions.
When work is complete, check under the tilting frame to ensure that there are no obstructions and that it is safe to lower the unit.
do not operate the tilt if any parts are damaged or missing as this may cause failure and/or possible personal injury.
do not place any part of your body within or under the tilt during use.
do not operate the tilt when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or intoxicating medication.
do not use the tilt for any purpose other than that for which it is designed.
do not make any alterations or modifications to this product.
do not allow untrained persons to operate the tilt.
do not move or dolly the vehicle whilst on the tilt.
do not expose the tilt to excessive moisture or allow it to get wet.
Immediately after lifting, support the load with the safety support rod and ensure that the safety bar is fully engaged.
Lift only by positioning the wheels of the vehicle within the tilting frame.
Take great care when placing yourself under or in a position close to the load and if possible do not work directly underneath it.

Store tilt in a dry, safe, childproof environment when not in use.
2. introduction and SPEciFication
2.1.
introduction
Heavy-duty all steel construction tilt lift, suitable for use with ride-on lawn mowers and quad bikes. Provides side access to vehicle
ideal for cleaning and maintenance work. Fitted with foot operated hydraulic pump unit and mechanical locking mechanism
preventing accidental lowering. Features three lockable tilting angles and stabilising bar. Fitted with carry handle and two fixed
wheels for easy manoeuvrability when not in use.

3. oPEratinG inStructionS
3.1.
Before first use.
3.1.1.
Inspect the tilt carefully before each use. Make sure that it is not damaged, badly worn, or that any parts are missing.
3.1.2.
Do not use the jack unless it is in a good clean condition.
3.1.3.
During shipment and handling, air can become trapped in the hydraulic system causing the jack to malfunction. To release any air
from the hydraulic system, complete the following:
3.1.4.
Turn the release valve counter-clockwise, no more than two full turns.
3.1.5.
Slightly loosen the oil filler plug on top of the hydraulic unit.
3.1.6.
Pump the jack pedal quickly, for several full strokes.
3.1.7.
Re-tighten the oil filler plug, and close the release valve by turning it clockwise.
3.2.
To raise a load.
3.2.1.
Position the tilt in a suitable work location and on stable, level ground.
3.2.2.
Pull out the supporting frame from the stand (fig.2).
3.2.3.
Ensure that the area is secure, by keeping other people, children and animals at a safe distance.
3.2.4.
Position the vehicle's wheels over the lifting cradle, by manually manoeuvring it into position (fig.3).
If the vehicle has a parking brake, apply it.
3.2.5.
Locate the foot pedal into its fitting, and pump the foot pedal to raise the tilting frame.
3.2.6.
Continue to pump the foot pedal, the safety device should activate in the locking positions as the tilting frame rises.
3.2.7.
It is advisable to place a safety strap (not included) around the wheel(s) and the lifting cradle.
3.2.8.
If required, continue the lifting operation until the safety device activates at the highest locking position (fig.4).
3.2.9.
When raised to its full height, place the safety support rod between the lifting cradle and the base frame (fig.5), two people may
be required for this operation as the tilting frame will need to be lowered onto the safety support rod whilst it is held in place.
For maximum safety, it is advisable to tilt the vehicle to the maximum height, so that the safety support rod can be employed.
