4 Configuration (Command Line Mode)
Step 2
Configure the IP address of the IAD. There are three methods for obtaining the IP
address, that is, Static IP address, DHCP and PPPoE. By default, the IAD obtains an IP
address through DHCP automatically after being connected to the network. You can
choose another method for obtaining the IP address:
Run ipaddress static ip-address subnet-mask default-gateway to set a fixed IP
address.
Run ipaddress dhcp to obtain an IP address through DHCP. (A DHCP server is
required.)
Run pppoe username user-name password password to set the PPPoE user name
and password, and then run ipaddress pppoe to obtain an IP address through
PPPoE. (A PPPoE server is required, and the user name and password need to be
set as the same as that on the PPPoE server.)
You can run display ipaddress to view the IP address of the IAD.
Changing the IP address may disconnect the Telnet connection. Then, you should establish
the Telnet connection again with the new IP address.
Step 3
Configure the SIP server.
Run sip server index address ip-address. The index is 0, and the IP address is
191.168.10.20.
TERMINAL(config)#sip server 0 address 191.168.10.20
If the prompt Failure: Execution of command failed! Please undo the
auto mode first appears, run undo sip server auto to cancel the automatic mode
of obtaining SIP server information, and set the IP address of the SIP server again.
You can set the index to 1 or 2 to configure backup SIP servers. The IAD registers to the
SIP server of index 0; if the registration fails, the IAD registers to the SIP servers of index
1 and 2 in sequence to ensure the normal running of the service.
Step 4
Configure the SIP user.
Run sip user port-number id id. The device port number is 0, and the user id is
88880008 (which should also be set on the SIP server; otherwise the user cannot
register to the SIP server successfully).
TERMINAL(config)#sip user 0 id 88880008
Run the display sip attribute port-number command to view the configuration result.
Step 5
(Optional) Synchronize the system time with the SNTP server, giving the log and alarm
records accurate time for reference.
Run sntp server address ip-address to set the IP address of a SNTP server, and then
run sntp interval <0-3600> to set the synchronization interval and run sntp time-zone
{+ <0-13> | - <1-12>} to set the time zone (for example, the Bejing time zone is +8,
run sntp time-zone + 8).
You can set the SNTP server to a PC on which the Windows Time service is
enabled. The PC must work continuously. To check whether the Window Time
