"B" Group: Fine Tuning Functions
The "B" group of functions and parameters adjust some of the more subtle but useful
aspects of motor control and system configuration.
Restart Mode
The restart mode determines how the
inverter will resume operation after a fault
causes a trip event. The four options
provide advantages for various situations.
The inverter can restart several times for
particular trip events:
• Over-current trip, restart up to 3 times
• Over-voltage trip, restart up to 3 times
• Under-voltage trip, restart up to 16 times
When the inverter reaches the maximum number of restarts (3 or 16), you must power-
cycle the inverter to reset its operation.
Other parameters specify the allowable under-voltage level and the delay time before
restarting. The proper settings depends on the typical fault conditions for your applica-
tion, the necessity of restarting the process in unattended situations, and whether restart-
ing is always safe.

Description
Select inverter restart method,
four option codes:
00... Alarm output after trip,
no automatic restart
01... Restart at 0Hz
02... Resume operation after
frequency matching
03... Resume previous freq.
after freq. matching, then
decelerate to stop and display
trip info.
The amount of time a power
input under-voltage can occur
without tripping the power
failure alarm. Range is 0.3 to
25 sec. If under-voltage exists
longer than this time, the
inverter trips, even if the restart
mode is selected.
Time delay after under-voltage
condition goes away, before the
inverter runs motor again.
Range is 0.3 to 100 seconds.
