Changes/Additions to GY-HM600/GY-HM650 Instruction Manual
The following are additions/changes made to the features as well as changes made to the displays. Please read through it together with the
AInstruction ManualB.
Addition of Operation Lock Feature
An Operation Lock feature has been added to prevent inadvertent operation of the camera.
While in the Camera mode, pressing and holding the [CANCEL] button on the camera body for 5 seconds or longer each time toggles the
Operation Lock feature to AOn/OffB.
When the Operation Lock feature is AOnB, the following icon is displayed.

Memo :
● The Operation Lock feature can only be enabled in the Camera mode.
● Turning off the power of the camera turns off the Operation Lock too.
● The [CANCEL] button on the LCD monitor cannot be used to switch the Operation Lock feature to AOn/OffB.
● The following remote operations are possible even when the Operation Lock feature is set to AOnB.
• Operation from a wired remote control connected to the [REMOTE] terminal.
• Remote operation of the camera through a browser on a smartphone, tablet device, computer, etc.
Operation Lock does not apply to the following buttons and switches.
● [POWER ON/OFF(CHG)] switch
● [ND FILTER] selection switch
● TC [IN/OUT] selection switch
● All switches inside the LCD monitor door (Operation Lock will be applied to the [CH1/CH2] adjustment knob.)
● Focus ring
● Grip zoom lever, handle zoom lever, zoom ring at the lens section
● [ZOOM SERVO/MANUAL] selection switch
● [FIX/VAR/OFF] zoom speed switch
● Iris ring
● [REC] button (located at the top of the handle, on the grip and at the bottom of the lens)
T Operation Lock will not be applied to the [REC] button at the bottom of the lens when [Camera Function] menu B[User Switch Set] B[Front
REC] is set to other than ARECB.
Addition of Contour Adjustment Feature during Playback
A [PEAKING(Playback)] item has been added to the [LCD/VF] menu.
Setting to AOnB enables you to adjust the contour of the playback image displayed in the LCD monitor or viewfinder using the [PEAKING +/-]
button.
Addition of Grid Display Feature
A [Grid Marker] item has been added to the [Marker Settings] menu.
Setting to AOnB displays a 3x3 grid over the image on the screen.
Setting to AOffB enables you to select [Aspect Ratio], [Aspect Marker], or [Safety Zone].
Memo :
● When [Grid Marker] is set to AOnB, the following items in the [Marker Settings] menu will be disabled.
• [Aspect Ratio]
• [Aspect Marker]
• [Safety Zone]
