Malfunctions when stopping

Runout time too short
The runout time must be noted down as a reference. Because the runout time depends on
the oil viscosity, the runout time must always be measured at the same oil temperature.
If the runout time is significantly shorter in comparison to a previous measurement, the fol-
lowing table must be observed.

Remedy
Clean (see chapter
Periodic maintenance work
→53)
Check clearances (see chapter Measuring clear-
ance A and B). If clearances are outside the toler-
ance or if in doubt, contact an ABB Turbocharging
Service Station.
Check clearances (see chapter Radial clearances N
and R). If clearances are outside the tolerance or if
in doubt, contact an ABB Turbocharging Service
Station.
Dismantle turbocharger (see chapter
and fitting
→70). In case of damage, replace the
corresponding parts or contact an ABB Turbochar-
ging Service Station.
