    2. Engineering Engineering Operations (1) Engineering of DPCS Figure 2.3 indicates the specific engineering operations to connect DPCS.  Use the DPCS Builder to build the control card functions for DPCS and create files to be downloaded to the control cards. These files are temporarily written to a floppy disk. If you upload the information of the control cards currently operating, refer to "Cautions on Renewal of TOSDIC".
  • Page 34: Cautions On Renewal Of Tosdic

Cautions on Renewal of TOSDIC In TOSDIC, the POC system loader is used to construct the DPCS functions. In TOSDIC-CIE DS, these operations are done by the DPCS Builder. Therefore, you must have the DPCS builder and a machine to run (1) DPCS Builder The DPCS Builder operates on the MS-DOS environment.

Appendix 1. Ethernet Control LAN Network Construction Guide This chapter describes how to construct an Ethernet Control LAN for the TOSDIC-CIE DS system and the limitations for the network. Read this before you deigned a network. 10M Ethernet Control LAN In the TOSDIC-CIE DS system Ethernet Control LAN, you can use repeaters (electric repeaters or optical repeaters) to add segments and expand the maximum transmission distance.
