Explanation
0.0 to 10.0 Secs
Specify how long the printer stops feeding media to allow the ink to dry
after printing one pass. You can select a value between 0.0 and 10.0
seconds. The time needed for the ink to dry varies with ink density and
the media used. If the ink blurs on the paper, set a longer time for
drying the ink. The longer the drying time, the more time required for
printing.
0.0 to 60.0 minutes
Specify how long the printer stops feeding media to allow the ink to dry
after printing each page. You can select a value between 0.0 and 60
minutes. The time needed for the ink to dry varies with ink density and
the media used. If the ink blurs on the paper, set a longer time for
drying the ink. The longer the drying time, the more time required for
printing.
1.6
Set the Platen Gap (the distance between the print head and the
media).
2.0
In most situations, use the values set for each media type as they are. If
the print results are scratched or smudged, they may be improved by
2.5
setting a larger value. However, choosing a larger gap than required
may result in ink stains inside the printer, reduced print quality, or
shorter product life.
Lv1 to Lv5
In most situations, use the values set for each Media Type as they are.
Increase tension if creases appear in the media during printing. The
higher the value, the greater the tension.
Lv0 to Lv6
Set the strength of the suction by the platen on the media. The higher
the value, the greater the suction.
In most situations, use the values set for each Media Type as they are. If
the media is wavy on the platen, increase the set value.
If graininess or out-of-focus characteristics are detected in printing
results obtained using thin or soft media or if the media is not fed
normally, reduce the set value.
On
Select whether or not (on/off) the printer performs operations to
correct media skew (media fed skewed) when media is loaded.
Off
Normally, leave this On. Set this to Off if the media shows marks from
the rollers due to skew corrections.
On
Select whether or not (on/off) to perform non-stick operations when
the printer is turned on, when printing begins, and so on.
Off
Normally, leave this Off. Depending on the type of media, such as
ultra-thin media, some may stick more easily to the platen. Starting
operations with media stuck to the platen may cause the media to not
feed correctly and result in a paper jam. Set On if this happens.
Operating time takes longer when On is set.
Lv1 to Lv6
We recommend lowering this setting if media wrinkles during printing
or if ink sticks to the back of the media in the take up roll.
We recommend increasing this setting if there is too much slack in the
rewound media. The higher the value, the greater the tension.
