Problem: A number appears when you type a letter. Solution The numeric lock function is on. To disable it, press and hold Shift or Fn and then press NmLk (ScrLk).
Solving computer problems Make sure that the mouse or pointing-device cable is securely connected to the ThinkPad Advanced Dock, the ThinkPad Advanced Mini Dock, or the ThinkPad Essential Port Replicator. If your mouse is incompatible with the PS/2 mouse, disable the TrackPoint, using the ThinkPad Configuration Program.

Problem: The computer does not return from standby mode, or the standby indicator stays on and the computer does not work.

To ensure that they will be installed correctly, install the optical drive in the Ultrabay Enhanced before performing a recovery operation. 2.
You can increase the storage capacity of your computer by replacing the hard disk drive with one of greater capacity.
