Installing the Battery To install the Li-Ion battery: Insert the battery into the opening on the back of the phone and gently press down. Place the battery cover into the position as indicated in the diagram, and then slide it until you hear it snap into place.

Charging the Battery Your phone’s Li-Ion battery is rechargeable and should be charged as soon as possible so you can begin using your phone. Keeping track of your battery’s charge is important. If your battery level becomes too low, your phone automatically turns off and you will lose all the information you were just working on.

Sound Settings Ringer Types Ringer types help you identify incoming calls and messages. You can assign ringer types to individual Contacts entries, types of calls, and types of messages. Preprogrammed Ringers include a variety of standard ringer types and familiar music. Vibrating Ringer alerts you to calls or messages without disturbing others.

Using Special Numbers Special numbers are important numbers that you have designated as being “always available.” You can call and receive calls from special numbers even if your phone is locked. Erasing My Content You can use your phone’s security menu to erase all items you have downloaded to your phone. To erase all downloads: Select code. (The Security menu is displayed.) Viewing History You’ll find the Call History feature very helpful. It is a list of the last 20 phone numbers (or Contacts entries) for calls you placed, accepted, or missed. Call History makes redialing a number fast and easy. It is continually updated as new numbers are added to the beginning of the list and the oldest entries are removed from the bottom of the list.
