Settings for the video
(VIDEO menu)
You can use the VIDEO menu to reassign the
component video input and HDMI input to
another input and to name inputs.
Select "6-VIDEO SET" in the amplifier
menus. For details on adjusting the
parameters, see "Navigating through menus"
(page 45) and "Overview of the menus" (page
46).
VIDEO menu parameters
x COMPO V. ASSIGN (Component
video assign)
Lets you reassign the component video input
to another input. For details, see "Watching
component images from other inputs" on page
79.
x HDMI ASSIGN (HDMI assign)
Lets you reassign the HDMI input to another
input. For details, see "Enjoying HDMI input
from other inputs (HDMI ASSIGN)" on page
80.
x HDMI AUDIO (HDMI Audio)
Let you set the audio output of the playback
component by HDMI connection with this
receiver.
• AMP
The sound of the playback component is
only output to speakers connected to this
receiver. Multi channel content can be
played back as it is.
Note
Sound is not output from the TV's speakers if
HDMI AUDIO is set to "AMP."
• TV+AMP
The sound is output from TV's speaker and
the speakers connected to the receiver.
Note
The sound quality of the playback component
depends on the TV's sound quality, the number of
channels, and the sampling frequency, etc. When
the TV has stereo speakers, the sound of this
receiver is the same quality stereo as that of the
TV, even if you play multi channel software.
x NAME IN (Naming inputs)
Lets you set the name of inputs. For details, see
"Naming inputs" (page 81).
