5.2 Main Circuit Terminal

5.2.1

Configuration of Main Circuit Terminal

Short circuit between P and PD (factory default state)
 The [PD/+1] and [P/+] terminals are short-circuited at the
factory-set. If P and PD are not connected, power is not
supplied to the main circuit, which disables operation.

● Risk of electric shock and fire!
 Be sure to check that the charge lamp is off before making any work such as
wiring change after the power is shut off. Once the power is turned on,
regardless of whether open phase is occurring or the device is running or not,
it is very dangerous because the capacitor in the inverter is charged at high
voltage for certain period even after the power is shut off. Check that the input
power is turned OFF, and wait at least 10 minutes before starting the work.
(Check that the main unit charge lamp is off and the DC voltage between
terminals [P/+] and [N/-] is 45 V or less.)

terminal area
Connects to the AC power supply.
There is no S/L2 terminal in the single-phase 200 V
model. Connect to [L1] and [N] terminals.
Connect a three-phase motor.
Remove the short-circuit bar between [PD/+1] terminal
and [P/+] terminal and connect the optional DC link
choke for power factor improvement.
Connect the optional external braking resistor between
[P/+] terminal and [RB] terminal. (In case brake torque is
required.)
Connect the optional regenerative braking unit between
[P/+] terminal and [N/-] terminal. (In case braking torque
is required and the braking circuit built in the inverter is
insufficient.)
Ground terminal. Ground to prevent electric shock and
reduce noise. Connect according to the applicable local
grounding standards.
For models of 200 V class 3.7 kW or less and 400 V class
4.0 kW or less, connect the grounding bar on the bottom
left of the inverter.
