Check pans for flat bottoms by using a straight edge. Pans with rounded, curved, ridged or warped bottoms are not recommended.

The oven has 5 rack positions. It also has a special low rack position (R) for extra large items, such as a large turkey. Plastic items on the cooktop may melt if left too close to the vent. Vent appearance and location vary.

The oven has a special low rack (R) position just above the oven bottom. Use it when extra cooking space is needed, for example, when cooking a large turkey. The rack is not designed to slide out at this position.

Close the door. Always broil with the door closed. NOTE: Broil will not work if the temperature probe is plugged in. The size, weight, thickness, starting temperature and your preference of doneness will affect broiling times. This guide is based on meats at refrigerator temperature.

Make sure the clock is set to the correct time of day. The timer is a minute timer only. The CLEAR/OFF pad does not affect the timer.

Cable Plug Probe Handles The temperature probe has a skewer-like probe at one end and a plug at the other end that goes into the outlet in the oven.

In a convection oven, a fan circulates hot air over, under and around the food. This circulating hot air is evenly distributed throughout the oven cavity. As a result, foods are evenly cooked and browned—often in less time than with regular heat. NOTE: To maximize cooking evenness, the fan is designed to rotate in both directions with a pause in between.
