6.2 Configuring Port Forwarding
You can set forwarding rules on the HG630b so that users can easily
access server resources provided by your computer (such as
personal websites and FTP servers) from the Internet.
6.2.1 Port Mapping
Port mapping maps the HG630b port using a WAN IP address to a LAN
computer. When Internet users access the HG630b port, the HG630b
maps access requests to the LAN computer and provides services for
the Internet users through the LAN computer. Internet users can then
access the LAN computer.
Configure a port mapping rule as follows:
Step 1 Log in to the web management page.
Step 2 In the navigation tree, choose Advanced > NAT.
The NAT page is then displayed.
Step 3 Click Port Mapping.
Step 4 In Type, select Application and choose the application
you want to set.
For example, if your computer is required to provide the FTP
service, select FTPServer from the drop-down list box.
Step 5 In Remote host, enter a WAN IP address.
Step 6 In Internal host, enter a LAN computer's IP address.
Step 7 Keep the default settings of other parameters.
Step 8 Click Submit.
