A storage system in an optimal state should recover automatically from an unexpected shutdown and unattended simultaneous restoration of power to system components. DS4500 Storage Server chassis has air vents along its top and sides. These vents serve as air intake and exhaust passages. Always keep vents clean and free of obstructions (Refer to the IBM DS4500 Fibre Channel Storage Server Installation and Support Guide for operating specifications).
