Ripping songs from music CD
Songs (audio files) to be played on Kenwood car audio must first be ripped from the music CD to your PC with
an external program (such as Windows Media Player 10/11) that has an ripping function.
NOTE
• Hereafter, Windows Media Player 10/11 will be referred to simply as Windows Media Player.
• This program does not have the function to rip songs from CD.
• Windows Media Player has a function to copy protect the songs (audio files) ripped to your PC. If this function is
enabled, the audio file cannot be imported with this program.
In order to import audio file with this program, be sure to disable the copy protection function when ripping audio
file with Windows Media Player.
(For Windows Media Player 10)
• When ripping with Windows Media Player, you can specify the folder to save the ripped songs (audio files) in the
Options dialog.
(For Windows Media Player 10)
• Even if you use this program to manage songs (audio files) ripped with an ripping software, the audio files
themselves are not copied, moved, or modified.
• Refer to the user's guide or help of the relevant program for the details of the ripping operation.
