The IBM System Storage N series includes pre-configured software and hardware with no
monitor or keyboard for user access. This configuration is commonly referred to as a
system. You access the systems and manage the disk resources from a remote console by
using a web browser or command line after initial setup; otherwise, use a serial port.
The ASCII terminal console enables you to monitor the boot process, configure your N series
system after it boots, and perform system administration.
