DIGITAL
Select the output signal type suitable to

PCM ONLY :
Device corresponding only to linear PCM.
DOLBY DIGITAL/PCM :
Dolby Digital decoder or device having
the same function.
STREAM/PCM
DTS/Dolby Digital decoder or device hav-
ing the same function.
DOWN MIX
Select the signal suitable to the device
connected to the [LINE-DIGITAL OUT]
terminal. Set "DOWN MIX" only when
"DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT" is set to
"PCM ONLY".
DOLBY SURROUND :
Dolby Pro Logic decoder-built-in device.
STEREO
:
Ordinary audio device.
D (Dynamic).
To correct the difference between high
RANGE
volume and low volume when playing
COMPRESSION
back with low volume (only for a DVD
recorded with Dolby Digital).
WIDE RANGE :
For enjoying the original full dynamic
range of surround sound without effects.
NORMAL
:
For normal usage. Surround sound is
compressed to a certain level.
HDMI
You can select whether or not the audio
AUDIO OUT
signal from the [HDMI] terminal is output.
ON :
The audio signal from the [HDMI] is out-
put.
OFF
:
The audio signal from the [HDMI] is not
output.
NOTE
• Depending on the connected TV, when
"HDMI AUDIO OUT" is set to "ON",
only PCM signals can be output via an
HDMI cable.
