    Important Safety Precautions Please read these guidelines before using your wireless phone. Failure to comply with them may be dangerous or illegal. Road Safety at All Times Do not use a hand-held phone while driving; park the vehicle first.     Accessories and Batteries Use only Samsung-approved accessories and batteries. Use of any unauthorized accessories could damage your phone and may be dangerous. Important: Although the phone can be used while the battery is charging, the battery must be fully charged before first use, otherwise you could damage the battery.

    Getting Started Installing and Charging the Battery Your phone is equipped with a Lithium Ion (Li-ion) battery. It allows you to recharge your battery before it is fully drained. When the battery is weak and only a few minutes of talk time remain, a warning tone sounds and a message repeats at regular intervals on the display.

Display Screen: This screen displays all the information you need to operate your phone. Navigation Keys: • The navigation keys allow you to scroll through the phone menu options.

    Understanding the Display Screen Your phone’s display screen provide a wealth of information about your phone’s status and options. The display screen has three areas: Displays various icons. Displays messages, instructions and any information that you enter, such as the number you are dialing. Shows the current functions assigned to the two soft keys.

    Memory Card Your phone allows you to use a Micro SD (Secure Digital) memory card (up to 2GB) and an adapter to expand the phone’s available memory space. This digital card makes it easy to exchange images, music, and voice data quickly between SD- compatible devices.

    Tip: If the desired entry contains more than one phone number, scroll up or down to display the number you wish to call and press to make the call. Using One-Touch/Two-Touch Speed Dialing You can store up to 98 numbers in your phone’s speed dial memory to make contacting friends and family as easy as pressing a few buttons.

The Contacts capacity is based on number of entries, not on number of contacts.

    SPARK Menu SPARK are TELUS's mobile entertainment, information and messaging services. From the SPARK menu, you can easily access messaging, mobile music, TV, radio, GPS navigation and download ringtones, images, games, applications and videos.     My Name Card This function is similar to an entry in the Contacts list, except that it contains your own contact information, like a business card. You can transfer it to another Bluetooth-enabled device or send it in messages. To view the name card: Press for Menu.

    Messaging You can send and receive a range of different message types from your phone. Press for Menu, followed by for Messaging. This menu has the following messaging options: • Voice Mail: allows you to access your voice mailbox and check for voice messages.
