Each time the button is pressed,
the frequency changes in 0.1 MHz steps for FM and 9 kHz steps for
AM.

Press the SCAN UP button on the remote control. The unit will scan
up the band. Each of the receivable stations is tuned in for 5 seconds.

When the desired station has been tuned in, press the SCAN UP
button again to keep the reception locked at that station.

If the channel
number is selected
by using the PRESET
UP
button, press the MEMORY button within 5 seconds to preset the
station.
Note:
If the next step is not taken within 5 seconds in steps 2- 3, "MEMORY"
disappears and the preset operation is cancelled. Press the MEMORY
button to continue.
Repeat steps above, to add more preset stations.
When presetting a new station, the previously preset station on the
same number of the same band is cleared.
The preset stations will be retained in the memory even if the unit is
turned off.
If the memory contents
are lost due to a power failure or other
condition, preset the stations again.

Select the band.
Press one of the 1-9
and +1 O buttons on the remote control, or the
PRESET UP button to select the desired channel number.
"ST" appears when an FM stereo broadcast is received.

Listening to records
Note:

Before you use the turntable,
disengage
the tone arm lock and
carefully remove the stylus cover.
-
Do not turn the turntable platter counter-clockwise.
-
When operating the unit for the first time, the tone arm might return to
its rest position. This is not a malfunction.
When operating the unit for the first time, the tone arm might not return
to its rest position. Should this occur, shift the arm lift lever to up and
gently move the tone arm to near the centre shaft of the turntable. The
tone arm will automatically
return to its rest position. This is not a
malfunction.
After use, engage
the tone arm lock to avoid accidental
stylus
damage.

Set the PHONO/VIDEO
select switch (rear of the unit) to PHONO.

Press the PHONO/VIDEO
function button.
3.
Place a record on the platter (if required, use the 45 rpm adaptor).

Select the speed with the SPEED selector depending on the record to
be played (33 or 45).
Shift the arm lift lever backward ( ~).
SIowly move the tone arm to the desired position by hand. The platter
will begin to rotate.
Shift the arm lift lever forward (I). The tone arm will then descend onto
the record.
If you wish to momentarily
stop record play, shift the arm lift lever
backward. Shift it forward to start record play again.
When play is finished, the tone arm WIII return to Its rest position and
the platte; will cease rotation automatically.
Do not touch the tone armor head-shell while it is returning to its rest.
Listening to video sources
1.
Set the PHONO/VIDEO
select switch (rear of the unit) to VIDEO.
2.
Press the PHONO/VIDEO
function button.
3.
Follow the instructions supplied with the video equipment.
