GETTING STARTED 1. The unit requires 3×1.5V AA batteries which is not included in the packaging. Open the battery compartment cover and insert the batteries in the right polarity, then close the cover (Proposal: use alkaline batteries). The time should be displayed on the liquid crystal screen after the batteries are inserted.
RECEIVING A CALL 1. On receipt of an incoming call, the telephone rings, and the LCD displays the caller’s number, the date, time, incoming number and the NEW icon. 2. If the same number is received again, and the previous call has not been reviewed, the LCD displays REP icon.
REVIEWING, CALLING BACK AND DELETING INCOMING NUMBERS Reviewing In on-hook state, press the UP or DOWN button to scroll through and review the numbers. Deleting Numbers When the desired number is displayed on the LCD, press the DEL button, the number is deleted. Press and hold the DEL button for 3 seconds, then all incoming numbers will be deleted.
Setting Local Area Code 1. After setting up the date and time, press the SET button. The LCD displays CODE 0 ----- and the long distance code “0” flashes, 2. Press the UP or DOWN button to edit the flashing code from 0 to 9 or -. 3.

Transferring a call between paralleled telephones: When receiving a call, use one of paralleled telephones to answer. Press “*” and the paging number that was set in the other telephone to transfer the call, the unit rings, pick up its handset or press key to answer the incoming call.
