    GETTING STARTED 1. The telephone requires 3×1.5V AA batteries. Open the battery compartment cover and insert the batteries in the right polarity, then close the cover (use alkaline batteries). The time should be displayed on the liquid crystal display after the batteries are inserted. 2.

    Pre-dialing function 1. When the handset is on the base, dial the desired number using the numerical keypad. 2. If an incorrect digit is entered, use the DEL button to edit the number. 3. Press key or pick up the handset and the number will be dialed automatically. Redial 1.

    If you don’t want the other party to hear your conversation during a call, you can press the MUTE key to mute your voice sending. Press the MUTE button again to restore the conversation. FILTER SETTING (DO NOT DISTURB FUNCTION) If you don’t want to be disturbed by incoming calls, you can set the phone in DND state.

    When dialing, press VIP/P key to insert a 3.6s pause time between the dialed numebrs. LCD BACKLIGHT FUNCTION The LCD Backlight is turned on upon receipt of an incoming call, dialing, pressing any key or in the music on hold state. The backlight fades after 6 seconds if no keys are pressed. Note: The backlight only functions if batteries are installed.
