Communicating with an Access Point (Access Point)
An Access Point network is a network that extends an existing wired local network to wireless devices by
providing an Access Point, for example the Sony PCWA-A200 Access Point. The Access Point bridges the
wireless and wired LAN and acts as a central controller for the Wireless LAN. The Access Point coordinates
transmission and reception from multiple wireless devices within a specific range.
To communicate with an Access Point, proceed as follows:

Turn on the Wireless LAN switch on the front side of the computer.

Click the network icon
The ORiNOCO Client Manager dialog box appears.

Click the Actions menu and choose Add/Edit Configuration Profile.
The Add/Edit Configuration Profile dialog box appears.
Note that you can also access this dialog box by clicking Start, point to Settings, Control Panel and
select Wireless Network.

Click the Add button.
The Edit Configuration dialog box appears.
