VARIABLE SPEED DIAL
This tool is equipped with a variable speed
dial. The speed may be controlled during
operation by presetting the dial in any one
of six positions (Fig. 1).
OPERATING SPEEDS
The Bosch oscillating tools have a high
oscillating motion of 10,000 - 20,000 /
min (OPM). The high speed motion allows
the Bosch tools to achieve with excellent
results. The oscillating motion allows
the dust to fall to the surface rather than
slinging particles into the air.
To achieve the best results when working
with different materials, set the variable
speed control to suit the job (see Speed
Range chart at right for guidance).

Ensure the switch is in
the off position before
inserting batter y pack. Inserting the
battery pack into power tools that have the
switch on invites accidents.
Slide charged battery pack into the housing
until the battery pack locks into position.
When the battery is fully seated in the lock
position, there will be an audible click and
reduce the risk of starting the tool accidentally. The GOP18V-34 is compatible with
StarLock family of accessories as indicated in the following chart

the battery should not dislodge until the bat-
tery pack release button is pressed. If there
is movement of the battery or it becomes
dislodged, repeat this step.
Your tool is equipped with a secondary
locking latch to prevent the battery pack
from completely falling out of the handle,
should it become loose due to vibration.
To remove the battery pack, press the
battery pack release button and slide the
battery pack forward (Fig. 1).
Press the battery pack release button again
and slide the battery pack completely out of
tool housing.
