  • Page 4 Choose a safe location for your machine Put your machine on a flat, stable surface that is free of vibration and shocks, such as a desk. Put the machine near a telephone socket and a standard grounded electrical socket. Choose a dry, well ventilated location where the temperature remains between 10 C and 35 C.

    • DO NOT place your machine next to sources of interference, such as speakers or the base units of non Brother cordless telephones. Doing so may interfere with the operation of the machine's electronic components.
  • Page 6 CAUTION Wait until pages have exited the machine before picking them up. Doing this may cause injury to your fingers by trapping them in a roller. Some areas of the machine can cause injury if covers (shaded) are closed with force. Take care when placing your hand in the areas shown in the illustrations.
