Before you handle the module, touch a grounded metal surface to discharge any static electricity you may have built up. To avoid damaging the memory module, be careful not to touch its pin connector on the side you insert into the computer.

Inserting and Removing PC Cards When the card is almost all the way into the slot, push firmly, but gently, to ensure a firm connection with the computer. To avoid damaging the PC Card or the computer, do not force the card into the PC Card slot.

You will lose all unsaved work, if, for example, a system error occurs and you must restart your computer, or your battery runs out of charge while you are working.
Using the TouchPad™ press and release the primary AccuPoint II button. To double- click, press the primary AccuPoint II button twice in rapid succession. The secondary button acts as the second (typically right) mouse button. The function of the secondary AccuPoint II button depends on the program you are using.

Doing so could cause the drive to malfunction. Gently press the disc onto the center spindle until you hear it click into place.

Mobile computing ❖ Do not expose the battery pack to fire. The battery pack could explode. Maximizing battery life To maximize the life of your battery pack: ❖ At least once a month, disconnect the computer from a power source and operate it on battery power until the battery pack fully discharges.
Dispose of the battery as required by local ordinances or regulations. Use only batteries recommended by Toshiba. After repeated use, the batteries will finally lose their ability to hold a charge and you will need to replace them. Under federal, state and local laws, it may be illegal to dispose of old batteries by placing them in the trash.
