6. Remove the E-ring from the outer end of the parking
brake shaft (Fig. 096).

7. Remove the cotter pin and clevis pin holding the
brake rod assembly to the parking brake shaft (Fig.

8. Slide the parking brake shaft assembly out of the
frame (Fig. 098).
