Basic Audio Adjustment

VOLUME

BALANCE
To adjust the output level
Turn VOLUME.
Shee
= RUD
To reduce the sound temporarily to a low level (— 20 dB
attenuation)
Press MUTING. Press again to restore the previous
level.
To change the relative output level of the right and left
speakers
Adjust BALANCE to correct stereo imaging when the
speaker position is not symmetrical.
Selecting the Speaker System
SPEAKERS
To drive speaker system A: Set SPEAKERS to A.
To drive speaker system B: Set SPEAKERS to B.
To drive both speaker systems A and B: Set SPEAKERS
to A+B.
To listen with headphones: Connect headphones to
HEADPHONES and set SPEAKERS to OFF.
IMPORTANT
e Speaker systems A and B are series connected. No
sound can be heard if the SPEAKERS
selector is set
to A+B when only one speaker system is connected.
The
signals from the PRE OUT jacks are output
regardless of the SPEAKERS selector setting.
