Cyclic and acyclic data
The data exchanged between the PSU8400 power supply and the IO-Link master can be
viewed in the PCT In this case, a distinction is made between cyclic data (process data, value
status) and acyclic data (device data, events).
SITOP PSU8400 supports cyclic communication every 4 ms. However, the cycle time that is
actually used depends strongly on the IO-Link master being used. This is then appropriately
defined depending on the data transmission rate that is supported.
