REPLACEMENT OF ASH PLATE
The ash plate acts to protect the front of the firebox below
the door opening from the hot coal bed and fire.
Over time, this may burn through in which case it should be
replaced to ensure the longevity of the firebox.
Clear ash away from the base of the ash plate. Remove the
old ash plate and replace with a new one. When positioning
the new ash plate, ensure that the front top edge is flush
against the inside edge of the firebox beneath the door
opening.
