6.4.2 Nozzle orifice disassembly and cleaning
● This is the processing method when ink stream bending or nozzle clogging is not
repaired even when nozzle backwash was performed.
● Do not perform this work while ink is being ejected. Perform it after setting the IJ
printer to the Stop state.
● Do not touch the ejection port of the nozzle orifice directly with your hand.
(Use the accessory tweezers.)
● If the ejection port of the nozzle orifice is damaged, it may be impossible to
fulfill its function.
Handle the nozzle orifice carefully so that the ejection port is not damaged by the
tool.
Remove and clean the nozzle orifice.

(a) Remove the set screw and float the nozzle holder.
(b) As shown below, insert the nozzle holder in to the window of the Nozzle-Tool B and
remove the nozzle orifice by the Nozzle-Tool A.

(c) Place the removed nozzle orifice into a beaker containing makeup and clean the orifice.

PRECAUTIONS

makeup and be careful not to lose it.
