7. When testing is complete, secure the cables and wires to the solenoid.
Tighten the nuts on the solenoid coil posts from 15 to 20 in-lb (1.7 to 2.3
N∙m). Tighten the nuts on the main contact posts from 50 to 60 in-lb (5.7
to 6.8 N∙m).
8. Connect the positive (+) cable to the battery first and then connect the
negative (-) cable to the battery. Coat the wire and cable connections at the
battery and at the starter solenoid with
