5. Look for signs of wear or damage to the drying nozzle (
If wear or damage is present, call your local technical support provider or distributor.
WARNING
Wear protective clothing, gloves, and safety glasses when handling bleach. It is
harmful if swallowed and may cause eye or skin irritation. Household bleach is 5%
or 6% sodium hypochlorite and can be used as a cleaning and antiviral agent.
To prepare a 5% solution of household bleach, dilute one part of bleach with
nineteen parts of clean distilled water, or clean deionized water. The prepared
solution is stable for one week when stored at room temperature.
6. With alcohol prep pads or lint-free paper towel moistened in 5% bleach solution, wipe
each wash head nozzle.
7. Wipe each wash head nozzle with lint-free towels moistened with deionized water.
8. Reinstall the wash head:
a. Replace the wash head using the alignment pins located on either side of the
retaining screw, then tighten the 4-mm hex screw.
b. Ensure that all tubes are securely connected.
c. Remove and properly dispose of the toweling.
d. Ensure that each nozzle is centered above the corresponding cuvette.
9. Ensure that no threads or fibers are left on the wash nozzles after cleaning.

Ensure that the tubes remain connected to the ports. Use care not to crimp the
tubing.
