A. Installation Work and Electri-
cal Wiring Must Be Done By
Qualified Person(s) In Accor-
dance With All Applicable
Codes & Standards, Including
Fire-Rated Construction.
Recommended for use over conventional gas and electric ranges and
cooktops.
When more than one cooking appliance is installed under a single hood two
(2) Ventilator Control Housings (Filters) should be installed, and centered
over each cooking appliance.
A separate ventilator must be used with each Ventilator Control Housing.
Use Ventilator Custom Kit in any custom hood or standard kitchen cabinet.
NOTES: Items packed inside the carton are as follows:
2 - Eye-saving T bulbs (60 watts)
2 - Chrome Light Reflectors with 2 attachment screws
4 - Mounting Screws
COLD WEATHER installations should have an additional backdraft damper
installed to minimize backward cold air flow and a non-metallic thermal
break to minimize conduction of outside temperatures as part of the duct
work. The damper should be on the cold air side of the thermal break. The
break should be as close as possible to where the ducting enters the heated
portion of the house.

  • Page 2 10 and a 10" round duct must be used. For installation with the VR600 a Transition #1308-8 and an 8" round duct must be used. Before installing VCK-1 in hood or cabinet attach transition to top of VCK1 through holes with DUCTING FOR THE VR600 & VR1000 screws provided.

If VCK300 is installed with the VCK1 the plug or cap is to be removed from the receptacle and discarded.
