- Page 12 STEP 5: Installation on roof The location should be free of obstacles, for example TV cables, electrical lines, etc. Ensure that the roof construction is capable of providing a firm hold for mounting screws and anchors. Follow standard roofing procedures. Remove the shingles only in the unit area. Install the unit with discharge pointing down slope.
